The Community Network for Disadvantaged People (CNDP) is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious organisation to help disadvantaged people.

Community refers to a group of people living in the local area. Specifically, the north to western outer areas of Melbourne between Plumpton, Strathmore and Hoppers Crossing.

Network refers to the usage of networking technologies by and for the local community, and this network is to be built and expanded through telephone contact, email and social media as well as other advertising and also through events.

Disadvantage People relates to the following groups:

  • Relates to people with reduced upward mobility
  • People with limited access to natural and economic opportunities.
  • Socio-economically disadvantaged people who are from low incomes, who struggle to supply themselves and their family with food, clothing and shelter
  • People who face special problems such as physical and mental disability
  • People with a lack of financial or economic support
  • People politically deemed to be without sufficient power.

We are CNDP

CNDP was formed in 2014 (then known as Phulbari Support Group) by a group of Bangladeshi-born Australians, as a way to help the Phulbari English Medium Kindergarten in Bangladesh. In 2015, our founding members sought this opportunity to establish an official organisation that could have a greater reach and help many different communities both locally and internationally. Every year, CNDP hosts a variety of fundraising events including BBQ’s, dinners, and stalls at festivals. We aim to raise funds for people and organizations both locally in Australia and internationally.

Our Vision

To identify and work with the disadvantaged, weaker and vulnerable sections of the society through community organisations and networking to find solutions to the problems threatening their lives with the ultimate aim of establishing and aware, responsible and developed society based upon equality, fraternity and social justice, ensuring sustainable and holistic development with emphasis on human rights; and a culture of social service through creating and building strategic partnership with local government, NGO’s, community organisations and local communities.

Our Mission

Providing help and assistance to disadvantaged and poor people with regards to their own health, education, quality of life and to increase their awareness to get access to natural and economic opportunities, health services, education and employment in order to become self-dependent.

Our Motto

Dream, Think, Act!

Our Objectives

The aim of CNDP is to respond to needy people/welfare organisations/institutions who are desperately need of help because of natural calamities or disaster, if possible.  CNDP exists also to help disadvantaged people, including men and women, young and old, children and students.
